Today, informal workers in the Ministry of Electricity decided to sit in front of the Green Gate.

In order to demand recognition of them as official workers and take their legal rights such as: fair wages, health and social security, retirement, reduced working hours, holidays, compensation for the families of workers who died during work.

These workers have provided their services for up to 16 years of injustice.

Their number reaches to more than 10,000 people in the Ministry of Electricity only.

In addition to the exposing them to danger during their direct work with electric power, which caused the death of more than a thousand workers due to the lack of protection and prevention requirements, and without compensation to their families for the same reason that they are considered informal workers and are not recognized by the government.
