The demonstrators were divided into two parts, The first part decided to protest in “Alawi Square,” which is a square near the Green Zone,
But the second part, as Tahrir Square was filled with them since the morning,
Also with many of the crowds that demanded several demands.
The most important demands was :
peace, Ending of militias role, getting out weapons outside the cities, the amendment
of the constitution, in addition to the usual demands such as job opportunities, electricity and dignity.
The characteristics of these protests is it was peaceful protest, but despite this, the security forces suppressed them after a simple quarrel between the demonstrators and the security forces.
In general, October became one of the most important months in which Iraqis were able to influence the political power and Iraq society, which became more progressive after the October uprising.
Therefore, the memory of October will be repeated every year to correct the course of the failed regime in Iraq.
