What happens in most of the areas of Iraq and Baghdad (Mredy street ,Al _Bustan , Al _Quds , Al_Dour , Al_Banok… etc.) is the removal of street vendors and those who built houses without state permission by force.
Demolishing the homes of poors in this way and at these difficult times does not do justice to any person. We’re with the law and order but not at the expense of the poor and their livelihood.
Is it the government’s plan to expand it’s projects at the expense of working-class?
Why are there no alternatives?
Why is the state not offering to sell land to people by monthly instalments ?
Why were the working-class not granted a period of support from the state?.
Families whose homes were demolished became homeless! Where will they go who will make up for their loss?
Why was this decision not also directed to the merchants and owners of hotels and tourist cities that have often been simply occupied by corrupt political parties and militias?
We must remember that the main reason for the October uprising is the injustice and violation of the rights of the Iraqi people.
The people are ready to rise up again to regain what is rightfully theirs.
