Our Narrative Campaign

Society lived in a period of confusion and adaptation between the time when the occupation began and the present day. There were those who decided to resist the changes, and there were those who simply decided to surrender to this great frustration and great, shocking change. When our neighborhood began to lose eighty percent of its arable land in favor of residential buildings and the change in agricultural identity, people began to look for alternatives to confront and adapt to these rapid modern changes in order to ensure their future and the future of their children , especially now that the neighborhood has become unsuitable for agriculture and that the agricultural profession itself has become useless. Useful. The alternative is that many people look for work with the state or convert their land into small houses and rent them out into residential plots of 50 meters. People with peasant backgrounds tended to work in trade, blacksmithing, carpentry, or selling food and other unstable professions, which led to a significant distortion in the form and quality of local products because there were non-craftsmen who began to produce important and necessary products for living. But the regime at that time was taking advantage of these circumstances to recruit new followers to serve it in its new missions, so it was creating militias and buying people with money. Especially since the current parties were completely new and the Iraqi people had not heard of them in the past. They came with the American occupation, and it was in their interest to create all these changes in society and exploit them for the benefit of recruiting society with money and weapons in order to remain in power. Therefore, we now see that Iraq has very large numbers of militants and armies due to the absence of any other economic alternative through which people can live.
