Yesterday, the pro-Iran militias assassinated our dear friend Tahseen Osama in his workplace in Basra
for political reasons related to his stances against Iranian and USA interference also Basra government.
Here in one of his Facebook posts he was expecting this to happen: one day, all of us will be killed by the Islamic way.
We are deeply saddened by this news.

The pro-Iranian militias are carrying out
an organized campaign to get rid of the political opponents in Iraq who were the spark of the October uprising,
these militias exploit the weakness of the protest movement righ now and the preoccupation of society with Corona Pandemic.

These demonstrators are progressive activists who are rejecting the Iranian and USA interference in Iraq, and always emphasize that all decisions related
to the future of Iraq should be made by the majority of the Iraqi people.

This matter disturbs these militias that want to implement the will of Iran and USA in Iraq, denying the Iraqis options, deprive them of freedom, implement disastrous economic policies on them and steal Iraq’s wealth.

This series of assassinations has started since the beginning of the uprising and it’s still continuing until now.

The number of murdered activists has reached nearly 230 associated activists in Baghdad and other Iraqi cities.
Especially these activists are well-known and they have a very high value in Iraqi society.

Iraq today suffers from these militias that are trying to control the Iraqi people and killing their activists in the most brutal ways, but the Iraqi people are still resisting alone and their revolution is still continuing and its flame is still raging.
